Wave Of The Day - Hawaii

There are, of course, many places in the world right now where surfers are unable to do the thing they love most. Hawaii has mandated Shelter-In-Place orders, beach parking lots are closed, congregating on the beach is forbidden — but surfing is still allowed.

So long as you run down and run back. And so when a solid, very late season northwest swell hit Pipeline yesterday, there was much running. Longtime North Shore standout Landon McNamara lives close enough to casually stroll to Pipe — and has enough experience and talent to pull into a cavern like this on a 13-year-old 7’10” and make it out.
