So California: Full Edit

The science behind this particular road trip was nonexistent. And many questioned why we’d even do it — take a surf trip through our own backyard, Southern California, during a soberingly average surf forecast. We brought no superstars, no corporate credit card, no team manager to book hotels — only a 12-passenger rental van, a biodegradable Igloo cooler full of Saint Archer beer, some friends who happened to be good surfers, and enough Why not? spirit to have some real fun.
