The mighty Bu. Legends rode here. Now, everyone rides here. A great small righthander that breaks along the point at Malibu.
Epic wave on the North Shore of Oahu. Gets seriously big and can be surfable at 25ft. Works on a north west swell and southerly offshore. The spot is very busy on (relatively) smaller days. The bigger the surf gets the thinner the numbers in the lineup.
Big waves can be found here from October to March. Shorebreak can be nasty here but there are still plenty of nutball spongers willing to take it on.
The left at Pipeline is one of the most recognizable waves in the world. It is a short, powerful, hollow wave that produces perfect barrels in the right conditions. It is very unforgiving and dangerous and is only for the most experienced surfers. When it is on here the peak can be packed, only adding to the danger factor.
Km38 is a well known spot for regional surfers comming from Tijuana, Rosarito and Ensenada.
A monster of a wave - for serious surfers only. The wave breaks on a shallow reef and produces grinding barrels with the thickest lips. Nicknamed 'Chopes' and pronounced 'cho-po' this epic wave is pretty consistent and will throughout the year. Teahupo'o is currently one of the spots on the WSL Championship Tour. The wave is offshore on a North or North East and breaks in a South or South West Swell. An epic wave - for seriously good surfers only!
Good with big swells. But its dangerous and localized like mad.
wave size good for beginner & intermediate surfers but can get rough and current can pull you into the rocks, the Quality rating is a toss-up, it can be the worst surf there is on the west coast that is not even worth paddling around or it can be some of the best surf in oregon, but no matter what its rough.
perfect surf not too big not too small, when wind is right the waves form perfect tubes,over-all its an awesome surf spot, but you have to earn it LOCALS ONLY
fairly good when not flat small surf for begginers
good surf, perfect for beginners & good for intermediates
"Big Dune" as it's known, has a track leading towards the beach which is 4wd accessible. the surf is not always perfect but on given days, on average 4 days a month, the surf will be cranking, along the same lines as a sunshine coast break or kuta beach on a good day. the left is usually more robust and can travel longer. the crocs can get big from sandy point just up the beach and localism is big here so stay away if your a tourist. Crocs do turn up but are rare. There is no localism. Everyone is chilled.
fun spot, awesome waves, gets big, takes a bit of getting used too,and lots of people but fun
nice fun wave
