Waves Surfed

Safi
Description:

This is one of the countries classic waves. A point break that starts breaking in big swells and can hold 12ft+. Once the northwesterly swell starts running this wave can break for up to 500 meters and produces big hollow barrels. Offshore in northeasterly winds. Localism can be a problem here so be respectful. Take care of the rocks when you take off.

Unfortunately when I was there the swell was only up to 2 foot - so, not much to say. It's actually an Awesome wave that breaks over 800 m

Imsouane
Description:

2 spots: Cathedral is a point break, fast not too steep. If the spot works well it's beautiful. Sometimes the whole beach works, not just the point, so there's space for everyone. Second spot is the bay ! Longboard heaven. Great for beginners and if you just want to ride perfect long waves. When this thing breaks far out on south swells, it's amazing ! One minute rides.

Hash Point
Description:

One of the great quality right hand point breaks that this area of Morocco has to offer. Works best in a North East swell at low tide, and is most consistent during the winter months of the southern hemisphere. The local town of Taghazout is really starting to gear itself up for visiting surfers.

Anchor Point
Description:

Anchor Point Taghazout Anchor Point is the holy grail of surfing in Morocco. If you get the point on a big day with a nice little offshore you are going to be getting some big take offs and nice walls. The inside section throws in some heavy barrels and you are riding the wave for nearly a kilometre!

Panorama
Description:

Panorama is a point break that stats right by the south end of the village of taghazout and breaks for over 500m on the good days. It's a evry fast wave that can hardly be surfed all way threw. It's still a fun wave and you can always surf it's easiest sections if you are a gentle wave seeker. You can watch the surf in this surf spot having a lunch at Panorama surf cafe. It's right in front of the spot. it's not as frightening as anchor point but the current can be tricky sometimes. perfect spot at low tide for intermediates who wanna try a point break, but only if it's not too high - panorama point can also barrel!!! if you're a beginner, panorama beach next to panorama point is your place to be in taghazout - perfect whitewash!

Boilers
Description:

Boilers is oen of the most consistent surf spots of the area. The first endless right hander that starts working. Boilers break also with small swells and is a fast and long right hander. Surfed at all tides, we do like it more when it's mid to low tide. watch out for the paddle in paddle out, can be pretty hectic sometimes.
