Recommendations for a new SoCal Daily Driver

I'm looking for a daily-driver that can go in just about anything from knee high to 1 ft. overhead;I also want it to be a decent/ok paddler with some good volume on it.

I'm kinda leaning towards a Sharpeye HT2 or a Timmy Patterson Synthetic 84.

I would say I'm about intermediate and am looking for a board that can tun tight in the pocket, but still also has hold and drive to glide through flat sections.

Oldie but a goodie, CI Pod. I have it in two different sizes, each with a round tail which works well here. Ticks all the boxes of what you’re looking for.

For something that does better in slightly better waves with an outline similar to what you are interested in could be a phantom. I had one, liked it but was a little too big so I let it go. Am looking for another one. Wide point a little forward and lower rocker makes paddling in easy.

In socal I would assume there would be no shortage of local shapers, they will know better than anyone else, plus you would be helping a local business rather than paying massive surfboard brands to which your purchase changes almost nothing, since half the surfing world rides CIs, losts, pyzels etc etc
