General Description
All year! There's always water sports enthusiasts staying in Alvor but Winter time is the best time of year for surfing here.
Alvor in The Algarve is an exposed beach break that has fairly consistent surf. Offshore winds are from the north. Usually gets local windswells, but groundswells do happen and the ideal wave direction is from the southwest. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights. Best around high tide. It very rarely gets crowded here.
