One of the best waves in the area, proving super long right hand point break rides. When this wave is on with the correct wind setup and a good 4 foot plus you can get some really nice barrels. Can be a bit hit and miss depending on the wind.
Be careful when you get in or out of this break, especially if the is some size to the swell, there are lots of sea urchins and rocks to navigate past.
The wave caters for intermediate and advance surfers, with those not so good sitting on the shoulder and catching the ones that slip through the net. Most locals will sit on the point, super deep and will try to rotate and keep the waves to them self. The best thing to do here is to be respectful, hang back and pick a few off until they know you can surf and then move closer to the peak. This way you may even get a couple that want to talk to you.
Do not piss the locals off here, its a small island and respect goes a long way/
You will need a car, that is unless you are staying in La Santa
La Santa, Ghost town, Famara or if you want to party with the main stream tourist go to Peurto del Carmen
Or if you have some serious money, why not Stay at Club La Santa
Back in the day (showing my age here) you used to be able to rock up right to the edge of the rocks coves, however that has changed all over the island and you now have to park by the road. Most popular breaks are doing this now in Lanzarote, they have stuck big wooden posts in at 1m centres preventing anyone driving too close.
La Santa has a few cool shops
Never at La Santa. But if you are looking for one Surf School Lanzarote is the best
Have a beer and chill
