California Surfers Rejoice In Days Of Waves

Thank god for short memories. All it took was five days of fun combo swell for surfers in California to forget all about the worst September in over a decade. (True! We checked the data.)

"The SSW’er was the largest swell we’ve picked up from the South Pacific in months,” said OC surfer and Director of Forecasting Kevin Wallis. “It came from a broad, strong storm that moved from the southwest to central South Pacific early in October. We also had a couple different swells from the North Pacific fill in. The first – and more westerly – one combo’ed the S swell Sunday and Monday. The second – and more northerly – swell kept the combo going Tuesday through Thursday."

And no one is complaining. And everyone's ready for the next one.
