One Fine Day Of Surf Across The Golden State

Spring officially started on March 19th (Leap Year and all), but for many California surfers, March 21st went down as a fine kickoff to the season -- though to be fair, conditions felt more like fall, with light winds and clean conditions nearly everywhere up and down the coast. Surfline Forecaster Keaton Browning surfed HB Pier, just to "validate his report" as the forecasters like to say, and explains what went down: "A quality blend of NW swell and early season SSW swell was catalyst for fun, peaky surf up and down the coast on Thursday," he said. "There was enough west in the Southern Hemisphere swell for exposures north of Point Conception to get in on the action, while SoCal summer standouts perked up after being mostly dormant the past few months."
