Description

18-20ft and Fair to Good Conditions.

Large to extra large and potentially dangerous WNW swell pounding country shorelines this morning. Waves are topping out in the 18-20 foot plus face value range with some much larger sets breaking on the outer reefs from time to time. Most locations are completely washed through with the exception of Waimea Bay and Pipeline. If you decide to venture into the ocean today please use caution. Check our short term forecast to see what this swell will be doing throughout the day today. Sunny and breezy. East winds around 10 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the late morning and afternoon.

Short-Term Forecast for North Shore: Powerful long period WNW swell peaks. Lots of normal spots will be overloaded or washed out, while big-wave reefs see sets running 18-25 feet+ on the face, and occasionally bigger for select spots. Surf stays strong through the day.
