"It was a double-black-diamond," explained Luca Padua (goofyfoot above) of this morning's session at wild and wooly Mav's. "It was big, and it was rough. Tim West Jr was towing Jojo Roper and me, and that wave was my first of the morning. We were tracking it down, and then the thing just lumped up out of nowhere. Tim couldn't go out the back because the wave started capping -- and when in doubt, throttle out, and he rode the wave with me, which was fun. I trust Tim with my life. Seeing him riding the wave down with me was pretty cool because I was yelling at him, and he was yelling at me. When we both kicked out of the wave, everyone was cheering and throwing their arms up. I was like, 'Are people cheering for me, or they cheering for you?' He said, 'I don't know.' I guess it was both."
