Waves Surfed

Boscombe Pier
Description:

Taken from www.southcoastsurfers.com with permission: After Bournemouth this is the second most popular spot, therefore gets very crowded when solid. However, with the artificial reef to be installed in summer 08 it will be likely to overtake Bournemouth Pier. At the moment there is a good wave to be had although a slightly shorter ride than Bournemouth, for both long and shortboarders. This spot will be likely to become an epic surfing hotspot in years to come once the reef has been installed. Average size swell, can get crowded. A fun wave. Good vibe.

Bournemouth Pier
Description:

Info taken with permission from: www.southcoastsurfers.com Located in the middle of 10 kilometres of golden sands, Bournemouth pier is the main surfing spot for the south. The pier provides shelter from the wind with good waves to be had in the winter. East side has the most consistent, high quality surf with shelter from extreme winds that usually come with swells, whereas west side is usually much less crowded at the expense of much less shelter from wind and usually smaller waves, has the option of shooting the pier from west side though. Requires a swell to even break , but is more consistent than it is given credit for
