When surfline says it is 2-3 feet it is actually 6+. As a beginner I can say that some days it gets way too big for people that are learning. It is great for beginners when the surf is down. The surf is unpredictable as it is a beach break but they break far out. Paddling out is a battle with the waves as there is no visible channel (or it is well hidden to a beginner) so you have to paddle right into the breakers. It is a local favorite to get away from Ocean City. When the surf is big, bring your shortboard. The scenery is amazing too, a secluded location filled with wild horses and animals. Please don't litter here (or anywhere) as it is a wildlife preserve. Enjoy!
