Fistral Beach

Porthleven
Description:

A top ten English wave. This right hand reef break gets epic in a large southwesterly swell. Offshore in a northeasterly. The wave breaks on the west side of Porthleven Harbour providing a great viewpoint for surf watchers. The wave is a fast, hollow right - not for the beginner.

When Porthleven is going off it gets really busy and the quality of surfer is high.

Unfortunately when I was there the swell was only up to 2 foot - so, not much to say. It's actually an Awesome wave that breaks over 800 m

Whitsand Bay
Description:

Im not that great at writing about surf spots but i have body boarded here and there were a few of us out so it must be an alright place to go....its at the bottom of a cliff next to a military firing range they do have lifeguards there in the summer. It has got cliffs to either side of it and a few rocks but generally a nice large beach to muck about on. Crowd wise for surfing i didnt think it was that bad but tourist wise for the beach it gets quite full.
