Description:

Quality right-hand pointbreak that holds a decent swell. It produces really long workable walls, with several surf spots along the coast. There is also a surfable beach break here. Praia de Buarcos beach is an urban beach, with extensive sand, located in the marginal avenue, in Buarcos. It is delimited to the south by the Ribeira da Várzea. When the right conditions are met, the Buarcos wave is considered the longest right wave in Europe. The beach have blue flag, the biggest recnogition that can achieve by the foundation for the environmental education, which classify the beach as secure place , well being, with good support infrasctutures and good environmental quality. The temperature of the water can achieve 14º on winter and 18º on summer. This beach is consider an inclusive one by the easy acessibility to the local.

Description:

One of the better waves in the area, and as a result gets busy. Righthanders break off the jetty providing nice powerful waves, these waves start working on small swells and are rideable over 10ft. Cabedelo beach is located near to the mouth of 'Mondego River, and offers a privileged view to the city of Figueira. With a protected sand dune area, the beach has a long sandy area and wooden walkways that allow acess to the beach and sea. The beach have blue flag, the biggest recnogition that can achieve by the foundation for the environmental education, which classify the beach as secure place , well being, with good support infrasctutures and good environmental quality.
