Wushi
Description:

This spot is also known as Beiti. It is the closest spot to Taipei. You can get there within 30 minutes if there are no traffic. It is also the busiest beach between July to September. The surf season is all year around but it is most consistent between September and May. Winter season it will be around waist height to overhead. However there rips are quite strong during the winter season and you will find the more experienced locals will flock to the different spots depending on the wind and direction of the swell. In the summer, the typhoon brings amazing swell to the East Coast of Taiwan. It starts from overhead to double and even triple overhead waves. On average you get between 1-2 typhoon swells per month during the summer season. If you're looking for barrels then you will not want to miss the typhoon swells. When the water gets really warm, you will see a lot of jellyfish. They aren't deadly but they are painful. Most surfers will wear a shirt or rashguard to prevent getting stung from it.

Nanti
Description:

It was a secret spot but not anymore. The only time that there are waves is that the typhoon is closeby and you can't surf anywhere but here. If the typhoon is too close and it is a white wash every where then this is the place to be. This is sheltered from the wind so and it is protected by the harbour. The waves are really good here when it is pumping.
