I'm back! (Raw Eggs all the way baby)

Postby bgdkmetzger2003 » Fri May 11, 2007 2:00 am

:D I just got the custom board ive been waiting for. It's a 6'4 19 wide by 2.5 thick.

To update from my previous post, I had suffered a tragic loss of someone that was very close to me. I couldnt surf anymore because not even surfing would clear my mind. I sold both of my boards and started going to the gym. It has been about 7 months since Ive surfed (regularly...still went out maybe once every couple weeks on a friends board). I went to the gym a lot and put on about 25 lbs!! (Im the guy that was eating the raw eggs!) I was eating about 8-10 scrambled.

So, Im coming back about 20 lbs heavier than I was (only 12%body fat though). It will be interesting to see how I can surf on this 6'4 coming from a 6'6. I surfed some on a 5'11 fish and it was alright....I plan on completely switching to surfing only unless there are no waves.

Damn.,...long post.

I took the bodyboard out yesterday at windansea (they hate bodyboarders there). I still had a good time, caught some waves. It was even warm enough to trunk it!

Glad to hear you got your dream board. You know they make high-protein shakes now-adays that are probably healthier and less expensive than all of those raw eggs you've been bulking up on. Rocky 1 from 1975 still rules though (eat the raw eggs/hit the side of beef etc)!

you know Ive mellowed out a little since the raw eggs. I usually eat scrambled eggs now. Found out my blood pressure was a little high! Surf is up here in SD on THursday with a little NW wind swell.

Where'd you get the surf's up report? All I can find are knee to waist high reports...

seems like maybe 3-4 windswell for thursday evening. That doesnt necessarily mean the waves will be 3-4...depends on the break of course.
