Competition Rash Vests

Postby Granite » Mon Mar 12, 2007 11:13 pm

This is doing my head in. All I'm after is 2 sets of different coloured rash vests for competitions. You know the drill - red, yellow, blue, white...

Plain is fine but somewhere that can print club logo would be even better. Anyone know where these can be bought cheap in uk or online?

Any suggestions much appreciated as need for inter club comp on April 8th!

Cheers

do you want plain, with nothing written on them? or is it ok to have a little logo on?

Prefer plain but a wee logo would be cool. Just want as cheap as possible as it has to come out of club funds.

or i just thought, maybe you could go to a rugby shop, and they've got 'under armor' which is basicly a rash vest but with smaller logo's on, in a variety of colours and also get long or short sleeves

Cheers for looking dude, but not quite what I was after. These are sale item rashies in odd sizes. I need plain different coloured vests in M and L sizes.

Alright mate, I recognise that name :) .
I've had a wee look about and the best I can find is just some normal rashies but on sale, the plain/custom ones seem more expensive especially when we're only after 8. Any way what I've found is some billabong slice s/s ones on two different sites. You could get Red and White ones from boardridersguide.com for £13.50 each and blue- ( £18 ) and Yellow- ( £16 ) from the wetsuitoutlet.co.uk in the above links. Not ideal I know but it's a possibility.

Ha ha, alright Brian!

Cheers for suggestion but it's job done now. Alder are making some for the club. £30 set up for artwork and then £12 each for the vests. Ordered enough for the comp but can order more for club members if there is demand. You'll see them at the East v West comp on the 8th.

umm, its a bit late now, but you could have just bought some cheap tshirts, bacm in the 80s even WCT competition vests were just t-shirts, put on over wettie and then a knot tied at the back to keep them tight.

Didn't consider that, good suggestion mate. Rashies are quite pricey and as these are only to identify guys in the water t-shirt prob would do the job.

That doesn't sound too bad price wise and once they're bought they should last for a good few years and plenty more comps.
