Oh, i feel bad now...

He's only a wee youngster. Someone give him a real answer.

Okay, I'll start...

Look where you want to go, turn your head amd shoulders towards where you want to go, but dont lean too much towards where you want to go - thats probably why you fall off.

aye fair nuff

that topic is a good one

my advice: dont think about it too much just look with ur head body then feet will follow. also with the leaning issue its not so much a lean as putting your weight over towards the rail which is carving into the wave. it will click one day.

BEND YOUR KNEES! seriously, bending your knees gives you a lower sentre of gravity, helps you balance, blah blah blah, so don't forget to bend your knees...... and if you think you're bending them enough, bend them a bit more

if you want to do big powerful carves you need speed
i'm 13 and have a better and more powerful cutback than my friend's dad who has been surfing for 30+ years i've been surfing for 1 1/2
you need speed and then you just look where you want to go and turn your shoulders and follow through, it's not one burst of power, you don't really push with your legs you get the power from the speed and your board. hope that helps
