No offence here ladies but she is rubbish with a capital rubbish!

To pop up you go into a pressup position with the indo board under your face, hands on either end of the board and the roller central(inline with your body/under your nose) then you just pop up, its not that difficult but your brain will tell your body that its not a clever thing to be doing so when you 1st try it you will always (sub conciously) be looking for a painless escape route but , switch that voice off peeps and your in buiness! 8)

Can any 1 else pull off 180's?? I can do them about 1 in 30 times.

I can do them in two different ways :D

One I can pull off most times, and one about... yeah, 1 in 30 times

If I do it without the board leaving the roller (ie by putting the board off the side, then doing the pivot off the bit thats hanging off) then I can get round usually. The hard part is doing it so far at one end that you can clear the end without the stops banging into the roller.

Or, I can ollie it round (well, kinda ollie. A lame ollie. Not sure what else to call it) and I have good days and bad days

And another question of the indo-ers...

Have you moved off the carpet yet?

I first indo'd on the bedroom carpet, and its great for doing tricks as the board moves so slowly (...relatively speaking...), but usually unless Im practising something new, I do it on my laminated floor in my living room. Soooooo much faster!

Then for added entertainment, do it on a slope... :D

Oh dear. Lame lame lame

She's doing it on a carpet so thick that the roller doesnt move unless you 'push' it, and will stay stationary as she balances. Pah :bang:

Okay so I've made my board.

I'm going to buy some 6" diameter tubing, can I use the grip tape they use for tennis racket handles on the tube for grip?

Also is the deck on the Indoboards smooth (Varnished) or is it like a skate board deck with deck tape on?

Mine doesn't have any tube grip, and it just has scrap pieces of grip tape slapped on it. :D

Works pretty good.

You could hot coat the top and put wax on it, but then you have to do it barefoot, which would be sweet until you get crunched.

Nice one will try that with the tube.

Hmmm looks like I'll just do a couple of coats of clear varnish, because knowing me I'm going to get crunched quite alot. Plus I don't want wax all over the house, sand is bad enough lol.

Its like sandpaper (with a shiney coating. if that makes sense). It needs to be really rough to do turns and tricks.

Just pop down your local skate shop for the deck tape, apply pop any bubbles with a pin, and trim edges with a stanly knife.

I generally have socks on....no specific reason, just the grip tape tears up my feet.
