I got knocked off my pedal bike last night - by a fleshin' woman with a fleshin' dog on a fleshin' 200ft lead on a fleshin' cycle path in the fleshin' dark

I had no chance of seeing the lead and ploughed straight over the handlebars (fortunately yesterday was the first time I'd ever ridden with a cycle helmet).

Then it was 'are you alright? are you hurt? oh dear Im sorry!'.....?
No, it wasnt - it was 'what do you think you were doing? You could've hurt my dog, Im calling the police'

Now I was all for the police turning up, but they took too long and she was getting on my nerves (I didnt think punching her in the face was going to do my case any good) so with bleeding leg, bruised shoulder and not-moving left little finger (seems to more or less move now, so probably not broken) I cycled away.

I wouldnt have minded her stupidity if she'd shown a simple bit of humanity afterwards. My faith in the human race drops a little bit every day.... :(

Im overwhelmed by your sympathy :nopity:

Actually, I can see there's a comedy element - cyclist, dog, flying cyclist

When Im over ranting at the silly cow, and the sore bits are less sore, I'll laugh at it

I felt a bit sorry for the dog too - it was only little and did a comedy yelp as it got dragged through the air

sorry - but that did make me laugh! I'm also glad it's not just me who's all bruised, cut and battered right now!

I know what you mean about her though. I often wonder what the human race is coming to :?

You should have gone up to the wee furry thing (within her earshot) and said

"I'm sorry, did I scare your dog?"

The things you think of after the event....... :bang:

That really blows. Too bad the popo's didn't show up so you could get some redemption.

This isn't exactly the same, but I was driving by some dude on his bike on a country road, and there was some quite mean looking dog start coming his way, and obviously he had a run in with a similar circumstance, because he pulled out a professional grade night stick!

I think the dog backed off, but he was more than ready to beat it down.

So since you didn't give her a piece of your fist, did you give her a piece of your mind?

that reminds me of the time i was going to the skatepark on the bike path and a lady with two big dogs was on the path. The dogs jump at me and get stopped by the leash. I look back, hear a sorry and see the woman falling in a puddle!
I came back and helped her back up but it was funny, i dont like dogs...
