Hey guys, can you tell me the difference between board shorts, and regular bathing suits, like the type you can buy at walmart?

boardshorts are made outta a different material, it dries way faster. most boardshorts have a pocket with a strap for your wax comb also. O ya and they tie.

Most sports clothing in Walmart is knocked up in asian sweatshops.
Boardshorts, likewise, are knocked up in asian sweatshops.

But surf-specific boardshorts are cooler looking, with big-arse logo's all over them and you want them more than Walmart products, so they're much more expensive....

LOL

Under a wet suit I too favor a pair of thin boxers... using boardies under a suit feels like i have piles! :p

Boardies in their own right are used in wrarmer climates.. with a rashie..

eh?
why wear anything under your wetsuit?
Surely they work best with just your birthday suit on. After all, apart from wool any clothing material is colder when wet rather than dry. I've never worn anything under mine.

Yeah I aways go commando due to the fact that there are no thermal properties in any boardies/boxers I've ever seen.
Warmer and more comfortable without!

You reckn that's bad.
We've got this fruit here in Tauranga who wears a custom wetsuit......that's fluro hot-pink. I xxxxx you not people. The whole thing, neck to feet in hot-pink.
But it gets better, he's about 50 years old & has two young teenage boys....and they have matching fluro-pink wetties as well, same as dad's. The kids are acid-babies, we're sure of it....

Bloody nutters.

i have thought about going oh naturel underneath my wettie because it does seem a bit pointless having something on underneath it, but i dunno how you actually get into your wetsuit in the first place...i mean i dont fancy hopping around the car park bare arsed...also girls if you surf with anyone who finds it funny to un zip your wetsuit whilst your in the water dont go topless...its embarassing for everyone!

i wear underarmor shorts and a rashie under my suit. Board shorts are too thick/loose for under the suit.
