Walden Mega Magic SLX. v. Tuflite

I'm thinking of getting a new Walden Mega Magic 9'. My current Walden has really taken a beating over the last 7 years and I thought I might upgrade to one of the new Tuflite versions. Looking at the old SLX and the new Tuflite side by side, it looks like the nose is more pulled in on the Tuflite, can anyone tell me what difference this might give me?
A bit tougher to get to [and stay on] the nose possibly?
