Progressive or Classic riding ? Why not both ?

Should I get a classic noserider or a modern progressive longboard ? Can I noseride a 2+1 ? Can I do cutbacks on a single fin ?

The question is usually can I noseride or cutback not if someone else can :)
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.
