Feedback on Tolhurst shapes

Postby Jimithesaint » Wed Mar 18, 2020 12:19 pm

Hoping some of the Aussie contingent could weigh in, I was looking at a Harley Ingleby Diamond Drive In thunderbolt build , shape was developed by an Australian shaper named Billy Tolhurst
Searched the forum and found some positive reviews on his boards, but was looking to see if people could share any other experiences (good or bad) with his shapes, or this specific model?

Watching the videos HI rides the piss outta the boards , but then again he is a fantastic surfer ( half my age and twice the surfer!)

I’m 60 and been surfing since the late 70s , looking for a good all around LB for EC USA beach break
Thanks , hope everyone is staying safe and sane during these chaotic times

Bill Tolhurst boards have been a good quality stick for a long time in OZ, of course someone like HI could make anything look good.
So red or black thunderbolt? I good for the board if itbwas a good deal!

Thanks Jaffa, yeah he is quite amazing
The board is the red thunderbolt, think the full carbon would overkill for an old guy like me haha
