billie's motorcycle photos

Postby billie_morini » Tue Dec 31, 2019 1:50 am

Waiki,
these 2 photos show the A-N-D forkless front end moto described in a recent private message. The first photo was made at Buttonwillow Raceway in SoCAL. The second photo was made at Sears Point or Laguna Seca in NorCAL (forgot which).

Waiki, these 2 photos are me racing at Thunderhill Raceway in NorCAL during different years. Always HOT there! You may know, in road racing the lower the plate number, the higher you rank. In one photo, I'm embarrassing two large Ducati with my little RZ. In the other photo, you see me on the track for the last time prior to hanging it all up (NOV 2004).

This is Chicken the Rottweiler. He literally was a tire thief! Photo caught him in the act at Buttonwillow Raceway in SoCAL.

It would be even better if the knee was dragging on the pavement! The knee pucks are slick plastics selected for low friction. The object truly is to drag one's knee. You go faster through turns when you do this.

Brilliant! That's the way to do it!

I've been on this extinct Hawaii track, too! It was close to Barber's Point, Oahu. This was a cool little track and the racers & riders nurtured a very cool vibe. I always hoped the race scene would/could return to Oahu. While three other islands have racing (Maui, Kauai, and Hawaii), it looks like racing will never return to Oahu:

And like every other beginner wanting a shorter board because they can’t turn a 9’0”, I had to size down for more maneuverability and ease of transport.
