Surfing in Hossegor

Hi Everyone!

I'd like to take my 2 kids (ages 11 and 13) to surf in Hossegor, France this July. There are beginners. Does anyone know if surfing in this area is safe for beginners? Any surf schools you would recommend?

I need to give you a safety heads up for the entire, Hossegor Cap Breton area, long sand beaches, prone to strong swells and major rips.

I don’t know the area well, nor the surf schools, there are some! So without a surf school I would be very wary!
Some thoughts , a surfboard is not a lifesaving device, nor is a leash. Your children need to be good swimmers!
I will read about surf schools in Hossegor and see if any might be suitable from their advertisements.

There is a wide range they have their websites in English and quite a few cater for teens, and emphasize safety. Google surf schools Hossegor, see what you think. None stood out to me!
