New(ish) surfer in South Wales

Hey guys, I'm a 29 y/o girl in South Wales (Rest Bay is my usual spot). I surfed a fair amount as a teenager and after getting my first car recently have started up again and loving it. Am basically re-learning from scratch so have come to this forum in search of tips from the more experienced. Would also be interested to know if there are any other female surfers that would like to meet up for a sesh!?
