Signed Board

Postby lnjk » Sun Jan 15, 2017 2:07 pm

I have a signed board. I think it is by something Tander. Can anyone put some light on this for me. Is there a surfer named Tander? TIA

A picture might help and since this is a world wide forum perhaps your country might narrow it down a bit.
Do you plan to surf the board, hang it up as a trophy, think it is more valuable because it has a signature? :D
If you are in Florida check out Surf City in Vero beach there is a family there the Brazie Family i note that a Tandy Brazie took some shots.

That is not a signed board. It is a set of pencil notations that most shapers put on a blank after they have shaped a board for someone! Mine all have Jaffa!

Is there a logo on the board? That might tell you who made it (most shapers have their own logo). Then (if they are still around) you could contact the maker with the board number (in the pic you posted) and they can tell you who the board was made for and when

If you were hoping to sell it and retire, 99.999% chance its just an old board and not worth much

But it still may be a board entirely suited to using or hanging on the wall

it looks like it's below the resin, it's probably the shapers signature.
