Board Rack Project

After doing a bit of research on board rack's looking for compact and attractive board racks there's the Cactus surf rack but doesn't fit my fat board so a project has begun...

That's a cool idea. I would only say that I wouldn't keep boards in the sun, as in your picture, because the sun will turn the foam yellow. In other words, I'd leave enough room in your rack design to hold a board in a board bag.

So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

Yeah I know they are just model boards but we will have the rack inside and away from sun

I don't see why it doesn't fit ? So long as the upper support rail goes past 3/4 of the board, it shouldn't swing out. ( notice even on OMS's rack, that the arms don't go past some of the larger boards ) How about leaving the "arms" the way they are, and put brackets in the back to push out the middle black support bar about an inch ?

I'm also trying to play around a bit to see what works I might still go with the stock 400ml width.

I bought these, easily fits my 9' x 22" longboard, you could store a SUP on these racks. By mounting high up on the wall it keeps the area below clear.
