Beautiful clip.

It looks like the guys riding these waves don't even try to go around the photographers, they must be confident those photographers, or whoever is in their line, dives deep enough in time..

That is exactly the way it works

The only sound in that barrel is the beating of your heart.

Awesome clips. Much better use of drones than delivering Amazon packages.

Grab a boogie board and go out on a 4 foot hollow day. You'll get pitted. Can't beat the real thing.

Getting tubed with a paipo board (the right paipo board) is even better. Boogie boards don't ride high on a wall very well. They slide down to the bottom but to get deeply tubed and make it back out you need to be able to go high up on the face of the wave. This is one of the reasons paipo boards are better than surfboards for tube rides. Standing up gets your head closer to the lip so if you are laying flat you can get a little higher and go a little faster. Boogie boards are smaller and fit into a smaller tube better than a longboard so they would be easier to get tubed on smaller waves but a small board can turn better than a boogie board and you can use weighting and unweighting to generate speed and that helps with getting tubed and making it out so if you were good at riding a small board it would be more advantageous. This is the reason I quit paipo boarding and started surfing

How early does he get onto the waves - I know he gets a little push, but he is up and flying before the wave even starts curling

Man I hate grommets :D

So which person is in the worse position?

Maybe in my 70's I'll drop down to a bodyboard, but not now!
Guess I'll start with a head dip.

I would prefer the invisible surfboard but if that guy is dropping instead, either way, the other guy is in a worse position. If the guy drops the whole height of the wave he can conceivably escape any pounding and just drop below where the wave will pull him back up. The guy going over the falls is going to get trounced for a while not to mention then next wave.....Oops I mentioned it :) Ok so I won't mention the wave after that one......darn it I just mentioned that one too

Would a twin fin blackball beater work better than a regular body board then?

He should be ok with multiple poundings if he has his inflatable/deflatable vest on, right?
