Hawaii consumes more cans of SPAM than any other state in USA. Maybe that the secret to surfing technique.

Speaking of Diets, one saying is " everything in moderation ". The other one is " Diets Don't work ".

Diet plan for fitness? High protein, low in fat, enough carbs but not too much, avoidance of processed foods, fast foods or anything other than whole foods, not too much juice, avoid alcohol, no soda, soft drinks or anything that comes out of a can or bottle other than water, watch your sugars and salts, don't overeat, don't eat at night, eat smaller meals more frequently, leave the table a little hungry, learn to deal with being a little hungry, drink more water, eat more earlier in the day and taper off towards the end, eat protein 2h or less after exercising, find the balance and quantity that effects what you are trying to do (lose weight, gain weight, maintain weight) and have the discipline to maintain your lifestyle so that your controlled, moderated eating habits become habit, become a part of your lifestyle and will eventually become what you crave.

Like W-chan said, diets don't work. You literally have to change your life to the point that your body also wants what your brain wants and the new routines, foods, eating patterns and portions not only become habit but your lifestyle and accommodating them no longer is a chore but something that you enjoy.............a new "normal".

Find a diet that you enjoy and feel good eating then follow it with no endpoint. I have alot of people come through the Spa and I don't know how things turn out for them as they are on vacation and leave, but I've helped 5 friends lose from 15-40kg....each one has kept the weight off and they love how they look & feel. They each had to make lifestyle changes that are permanent. They are happy they did.

Don't know if you wanted a serious answer but there you go. My book is coming out once I stop surfing and have time to write it. :)

A diet needs to be tailored to the individual. There is no one diet that works for everyone. You are a certain weight and at that weight you may be overweight underweight or right at the right weight for your body. What you eat need to provide calories you need or less than you need so you loose weight. Someone like Micheal Phelps or Laird Hamilton or probably lots of high end athletes eat massive amounts of calories because they burn them off. If you aren't exercising much then you need less calories. You need vitamins and minerals to make your body work properly. These should be in balanced proportions related to the calories you are burning off. If you really want to diet you should consult a nutritionist or dietitian or whatever licensed food expert there are in the country you are in. They can tailor a plan for you. Or you can just make do with the little knowledge you have like most people do.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

Word to what oldmansurfer said, diets are specifically made for you, your diet won't work for someone else.
I have a very fast metabolism so I don't get fat, I can basically eat anything I want, I have nutella toast for breakfast sometimes, and my other meals consist of high protein to build up the muscle I tear when paddling.
If someone else tried my diet they'd probably gain 10 pounds in a month

Nutella toast for breakfast, Ben & Jerry's for lunch, and pizza & beer for dinner. You think you're okay, but that's gotta be bad karma or something.

My body is a temple, I do not drink, I eat nothing but good wholesome foods in sensible portions...

...right until 5pm on Fridays, at which point it's a free pass until Monday, and I go and ruin all that week's hard work

You'll probably find me surfing, but if not, I'll probably be in the photography studio

Guy on the left is a Waikiki Beach Boy that rips Queens surf break on a 8'0" Wavestorm or a 11'0" NSP lesson board. The guy on the right is one of the top guys at Canoes surf break. You should ask them about their "Diet Plan".

Here’s my two cents. To maintain my stamina I consume Beetroot Juice to boost my energy, Salmon a few times a week as my main protein source for building muscles. Those are my fuel for my daily activities and recreations

Salmon is great....I eat 100g every morning for breakfast along with pickles, small bowl of rice, fish cake and miso soup with extra tofu and kombu. I also have a small dish of natto, which is great for digestion and is packed with essential vitamins and minerals.

This Diet Plan includes the intake of fruits, vegetables and starch. To prepare yourself for the vegetarian GM diet plan, you need to avoid alcohol for a few days. Especially in the time of the diet schedule and before it. This is a very important tip you need to follow. Alcohol increases the uric acid in the body, which leads to water retention. This blocks the natural detoxifying process from taking place.

Hi Everyone
If you want to lose your weight and get rid of belly fat as soon as possible than follow GM diet plan.
General Motors Diet is a seven-day diet plan that will help you to lose weight and cut the abdominal fats. It is the healthiest way to reduce 11 to 17 pounds in just seven days. In this article we will provide you with all the information you need to know about a GM diet along with a 7 day diet plan.

Day # 1 –Consume only fruits throughout the day. You can eat all fruit other than bananas. Good choices include melon and watermelon. Drink plenty of water. Another option is to place a variety of fruit in a blender and pour in a thermos. This works great if you are headed out to work, school, the gym or wherever.

Day # 2 – Eat all the raw or cooked vegetables you can consume. You may start your day with a baked potato for breakfast with oil or butter. You can enjoy all your vegetables as a salad and use white or wine vinegar, lemon and herbs for flavoring. Do NOT use salad dressing. You’ll blow the whole diet.

Day # 3 – Combine both fruits and vegetables in any amount without bananas or potatoes. Fruits and vegetables can be combined in a blender as well for a quick way to consume them on the go.

Day # 4 – Milk and bananas are the choices for the day. Eat as many as 8 bananas and drink at least 3 glasses of any kind of unsweetened milk. The potassium in the bananas and the calcium in the milk are a key part of this diet. This is the day you can enjoy the special soup along with your bananas and milk. Most likely, you will not be able to eat all 8 bananas in one day.

Day # 5 - Enjoy a celebration meal of beef and tomatoes that includes two 10-ounce portions of lean meat or hamburger with six whole tomatoes. It is important to increase your water intake to help your body get rid of the uric acid that you will be producing on this day. Aim for an increase of water by one quart.

Day # 6 – On this day, you can consume unlimited amounts of high, lean protein and vegetables.

Day # 7 – Whew! The last day consists of eating all the vegetables you can consume, fruit juices and brown rice. No meat. Make sure the fruit juice is not from a concentrate or bottled with added sugar. If you have access to a juicer, the sky is the limit with creating your fruit juices.

The best weight loss plan is to normalize your diet. Start removing junk food from your diet, I know it sounds corny, but in my experience I realized that all fast food slows down the process of losing weight. If you can't do without this food, then once a month you can arrange a Cheatmeal ( this is the day when you can eat absolutely everything and not count calories). In addition, you need to exercise, of this process of fat burning will be accelerated. I lost about 6 kg in three months in this way, then I decided to use a weight loss plan from here
