Hey dudes :)

Welcome to Surfing-Waves.com! Here you can tell us something about yourself, how long you've been riding, maybe a few pics etc.

Hey dudes :)

What's up? ^_^

I am basically just joining because I am very curious about surfing. I've never tried it (only bodyboarding when I was a kid and loved it) but it's been an interest of mine on some level for a long time.

I wanted to chat in a community and try it out sometime!

Gotta start somewhere, eh? :)

So... hi!

Oh, I'm also into gaming, music, I'm a bit of a hippy... and I like just hanging out ^^

Peace!

Welcome to the forum. A bit of a hippy? That's like a bit of beige ....or something. Well I grew up in the age of the hippies (60's) and used to have long hair etc. but I have always been a philosopher and never let my philosophy stop where the hippies stopped. The only way to learn to surf is to go do it. Surf lessons are a good starting point. It's way more difficult to surf standing but if you can stand allready on your boogie board then it will be a piece of cake. Being an older person I only play the oldest of online mporg games Ultima Online.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

Ah that's not that old! The first one I got seriously into was Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast so that was about 1999 or 2000.

Hippy stuff is awesome I think - I enjoy the whole subculture a lot!

And yeah I should definitely get stuck in. I've never lived around beaches with good waves though so this will be literally the first time I've had that to enjoy!

I'll probably end up in Wales soon and then maybe Cornwall/Devon at some point, I guess it depends how into it I get and if I'd like to be around there. I've heard that Cornwall is really nice to live in in general though :)

been playing UO since 1998 and still play it. I guess you will be visiting the wave pool in Wales then?
