G'day from Australia

Postby Frenchy » Mon Apr 20, 2015 11:03 am

G'day All,

I'm new to both surfing and this forum, but I've been killing way to many hours recently reading anything and everything on this forum. Anyway, its about time to be a part of it!

I'm from melbourne, victoria, with my closest surf being the mornington peninsula back beaches, which is a decent hours drive but i'll be trying to get down there as much as possible.

Anyway, cheers for having me!

Hit the beaches at Pines and Merricks near Flinders better spots to learn than the outside beaches. Enjoy the best way to spend your days.

Ooh, that's the wrong end - chilly water!

Wrap up warm and have a good time! 8)
You'll probably find me surfing, but if not, I'll probably be in the photography studio

Hey guys! Thanks for the replies

Cheers Jaffa, will be sure to check those out! I have been swimming off the rye back beaches, and could imagine its not an ideal place to learn the basics of surfing. But the more sheltered spots around Flinders sound ideal and close enough too.

Hahaha yeah you're not wrong about that DBBB! Much nicer up your end of the country. But you get pretty used to the cold down here!
