Try again, I made it open group. I thought you can still search for closed group to join. But probably not.

I can't seem to find it? Would it be worth naming this so it's East Anglia specific?

Perhaps we should ask SurfPatrol to start it.
This is his forum after all?

Hi guys. so I've looked on the Bible (or MagicSeaweed as the rest of the world knows it) and there is 2-3ft at Cromer on Saturday so myself and the missus are thinking of coming up.
Can any of you tell me of decent campsites near by or wild parking spots that we can use for an overnight stop?

I'm the same(ish) 2hrs 45 without traffic but I'd rather have a full day and not rush back.

Hi everyone, a newcomer today. I have posted in older beginners.
Surfer girl, I had my first open lesson at Glide with Ben last Sunday 11.30 - 1.30 were you there? There was a chap in my group whose girlfriend was surfing on her own board.
I would be interested in joining up with others to surf as I am now hooked! I am away in Devon soon so I shall have more lessons in the next couple of weeks. I am based in Suffolk so Cromer is about 1.45 hrs away. I will look for the Facebook page too.

Hey Jellyt0ts! I was there on Sunday, you would have met my husband Paul and I was surfing (badly!) on my own whilst he took part in the lesson.

This will be my 3rd weekend running that I am returning to Cromer, there is an unusual amount of surf for the East Coast at the moment so it seemed too good an opportunity to miss!

It'll be great to have another East Anglian surfer on board! I wish I had put this post up a long while ago, I have been wanting to find some people to surf with for a long while!

Yay, thought it was you and Paul! Well I am rather hooked now although I only managed to get one foot up on the board and then after two hours in that surf, was exhausted! I think I need to work on my flexibility and noticed some good advice on here so I will try to improve on land in between water sessions. I am off to Bournemouth and also woolacombe in the next couple of weeks so I will have some more lessons there. Hopefully there will still be plenty of summer left to hook up with the East Anglian clan! :D keep in touch

I don't think you can underestimate the importance of land based training when you're not able to surf regulary. I need to step up the yoga and make it a more regular part of my programme. I also need to work on my paddle strength, I found another 3+ hours in the water this weekend and I thought my arms were going to drop off! I wanted to surf for longer but there was no way my arms were going to let me! I hope you get some surf on your forthcoming trips and hopefully we'll be able meet up at Cromer again soon!

I surfed 11 hours total this weekend. My hands are shaking so badly that I can't even hold a cup of tea without spilling it everywhere. But it was definitely the best surfing weekend I ever had in Cromer!

I have to say MSW is spot on for the forecast at Cromer. It's been 100% accurate for the past 3-4 weekends. Good forecast for Wednesday and the weekend again! So might see you there again.
