G'day from a central Queensland kook.

Hey there guys and gals,

My names Sean and i live in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia.

After growing up on the southern Gold Coast (Currumbin) as a grommet surfing everyday .....somehow i managed to stuff things up....., to much of this  and this :yearght: !!! Now i'm thirty bloody six and have a pot belly. Time to get back in the water and get life back on track !

Not much in the way of good waves up here in Bundy but there a few spots with enough to keep me happy. So i've got my hands on a mini mal and a 9'2 longboard. Looking forward to teaching my kids what i was taught at their age, even though i'm classing myself as a learner again.

Theres a cyclone a long way off to the north east of us at the moment .... hoping it gets closer but not to close. I want the bigger waves but still want the roof on my house !!

Anyway, look forward to learning a lot from you guys on here. Cheers.

Hey Sean, welcome to SW.

I just recently moved to Currumbin.... you left? Are you mad!?!

Water must be fantastically warm in Bundaberg! Hope you and the kids love it! :D

Thanks guys ! Lucky you bitbybit..... i still love Currumbin... impossible not to mate !
My oldies still live in the valley so i get back a few times a year. 'The Alley' sure has changed since my grommy days. 20 was a huge crowd back then !! House prices got a bit crazy for me though mate. One day i'll get back home though.
Yep, warm water up here...plenty of sharks and even the odd croc sighting too !!
Cheers lads.

Keep at it I'm sure the belly will go and your old skills will come back.
