Postby ellieLMhewer » Sun Dec 09, 2012 10:53 am

Hey guys iam saving to buy a board and not 100% sure what I should be looking at, I have surfed a couple times before and managed to make it too my feet before successfully face planting Ito the water so I was thinking of a mini Mali? Is this right or am I going to look like a complete tool? Haha cheers!

Well, I guess it depends on whether you think you will look cooler using a shortboard but failing to catch any waves and falling off every time and being in everyone's way; or having a bigger board and catching waves and actually surfing.

Hey! This may a bit late, but I was in exactly the same position as you, and was recommended a minimal by loads of people. I've bought one and am really happy with it, hopefully it should see me through my beginner stages to getting a bit more advanced so I should get some good use out of it.
