Hello surfpatrol, the term 'abuse' I can understand, and have tried to avoid it on this thread. As far as 'flaming' goes . . discussing almost any subject which is in any way controversial can be construed as flaming . . I mean sometimes we adults have a meeting of minds which involves disagreement or an 'argument'.That's life!
I am a believer in communication, and think that if a discussion can be conducted without actual personal abuse then it is all good . . even if there is disagreement.
If you feel that your forum is an inappropriate place for the kind of surfboard design discussion which we are having on this thread then please let me know and I will post elsewhere . .
. . I was kind of hoping that the level of interest which these subjects generate amongst dedicated surfers would balance out the occasional outbursts of emotion which occur when old assumptions are questioned and discussed . . .
