Not really. Just try not to surf when there's no moon![]()
I did feel like I was going to get eaten by something most of the time I was out though...

I took off on a left and was flying down the line of a nice straight face. Then I was wondering why it was all dark ahead of me - and as I squinted ahead trying to work out what was going on, why there seemed to be a big black hole in my vision, I slammed facefirst into a wall of water - the wave had met with some rebound off the shorey and there was a sudden bend in the wave face that I completely didnt see coming![]()
