We use them for rental boards and I have ridden them and they work fairly well. They are super durable, and that is why we use them for our rental surfboards. Some Bic surfboard models work better than others. I like the E-Comp construction over the ACS construction. I would say good beginner to intermediate surfboard.

They also hold their value, look after it and you won't loose too much if/when you upgrade.

Bics are okay, if you are going down that route I personally prefer the NSPs but each to their own I guess :). If you get a bic, get the e-comp as the other construction method (identifiable by the black nose caps) is utter rubbish.
