Embed-a-feed with our free rss feed widget

Postby surf patrol » Thu Jan 13, 2011 3:20 pm

If you have a website or blog, you might be interested in using our feed widget. It was built to feature new additions on the site but it's been decided to open it up for everyone.
It's a fully customisable feed widget which you can use to display multiple rss feeds (they don't even have to be SW feeds).

If you are interested, take a look here - free feed widget
It's simple to use and it's free.
Here are a couple of examples;

This text starts to display if the widget has been added to a site without using the "Powered by" link. I have just checked your site and see that you have now added the link. Your feed is displaying correctly.
Thanks

Thank you gentlemen for this support .... I hope I have some questions answered.

How can I display the date, source of nutrition and author such as examples in this forum?

And whether I can determine the color of the date and author and the source?

Hi zakyshny,

The date & author info in the examples comes from the rss feed item description (sw.rss), there is no special formatting options to make that diplay. You would have to amend your rss feed contents if you want that to display in your widget.

The source icon is an option you can select.
General settings > Source icon > on

The only time that the description part of the feed display is specially formatted is when the the item is from a twitter feed.

Hope this answers your questions.

Thank you, surf patrol for the reply and clarification ...

I have another query ...
Can I control the direction of writing? In other words I want to make my writing direction from right to left inside the box and not vice versa?

Also I am having a problem when you design the CSS file?

For example:
This is the code for the Style No. 2

body{margin:0;padding:0;background-color:#f1e9f3;background-image:url(/images/ex1.jpg);}
img

All I want is to change the background image of this Style. Then I uploaded an image on my own server. And I put the URL of the image replace the link in Style before the amendment did not show the image.

What is the reason why you do not see is the right way?

In the end, I thank you in advance for the reply and I hope to not be angry with the large number of my questions ..

Hi zakyshny

Can I control the direction of writing

This is not currently possible. Without changes to our script, it would have to be done from your feed, and then aligned with css.

All I want is to change the background image of this Style

This should work, without seeing your css file I am unable to let you know what the problem is.
Make sure you have removed any background-color styles from your css style - these will overwrite your body background image.
If this does not work, feel free to email your css file so I can take a look.

Thanks
