My New board

Postby paulbart1 » Tue Feb 16, 2010 1:25 am

Hey, Just brought a new sweeeeet board. I got it custom made by JP surfboard in south west wales (which is where I am from)

I brought a 6ft T4 they are called. Quad fin with a small swallow tail, it is absolutely sickk! been surfing for about a year now but this is my first big buy, I tried uploading a photo of it but it won't let me because it only allows a certain amount of kbs for the images :(

It is up on my blog if anyone is interested in checking it out http://enjoisurfing.blogspot.com/

It is pretty annoying at the moment mind as I am in university so surfing time is downn :( have to make the most of it when I go back but then it depends whether my beachs are recieving the swell and period :( Didn't think I would miss surfing as much as I am, depressing times. So I thought I would join the forum to keep myself reminded of surfing :D

Sick dude!! That looks like a very fun board. I know what you feel like. I have been living in Manhattan Beach my whole life, and love surfing. But this summer my family is moving up to Seattle Washington, which means I am not going to be able to surf until I come back down to the beach to visit. Get out there as much as you can!!

Hey,,
When you are in Seattle, be sure to come down to Ballard and check out The Surf Ballard Shop. They know where all the spots are and can hook you up with good rental gear while you are here.

I went to college (where there was no surf) for three years- I just swam and swam and swan and swam - all my spare time was pretty much swimming.

My schedule ?
Wake up
Cycle to pool
Swim in pool
Lectures
Swim in pool
Lectures
Swim in pool
Cycle home
Food
Cycle
Swim in Ocean
Cycle home
eat
Drive to Kayak club
Kayak
Drive home
Food
xxxxx
Bed

That was it ! Had an awesome ultra strong body and could catch waves beyond where the long boarders were when I got home !

Hahaha - yup lol !

I have to say, in my experience, constant swimming gives you hella strong body all over and since the breathing has to be when your mouth is outta the water, it strengthens the lungs !

My lung capacity increased by 10% over one year – try that in the smelly gym !

The 10% improvement was measured and compared by a pro doctor: measured from when I was a student to when I was taken on full time (after my final year of college.).
I swam for three years at college in my own time and at my own pace. I gave it some in my last year where as mentioned above I still gained 10% lung capacity over one year even after the previous two years of swimming!

We must all have lungs like prunes dudes and dudettes – Go swim and get +10% year on year until you can blow like a whale ! Whooooeeeeee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[my full time job was pro development officer steel mills, then got EU/Global expert and senior level, then appointed government advisor, now analyst in amazon - the big, young, multi $£bn on-line retailer, so I kid you not as to the simple truth above !]
