Hey, just a quick one...
This is my first year of surfing here in the North of England and one thing I kept hearing form surfers and shop owners while I was trying out board etc was "yer this summer sucks...can't wait for winter"
Now in my mind this had winter as either epic or at least consistently surfable
however above a small rise in the number of reasonable weekends with "some" surf I can't say I have noticed a HUGE change (certainly at the cost of darker evenings Im getting out less)
so my question to you who have seen winters come and go is...
Is this how it normally is?
is this year any better/worse in terms of surfable days?
is it likely to get better between now and spring?
what does spring hold for us in the north UK?
