I use my girls 7'6" miniMal when I am feeling like having a lazy session and just want to catch a bunch of waves. It's good fun and I can still do floaters, cut backs, etc.

They all have thier place.

just back from a 4 day weekend surfin my new longboard.... super stoked! improving loads. not getting caught in whitewater nearly as often. took a couple if waves to get used to the board but by the end of the first session was flying! 1-2 super clean waves all to myself. pure wicked session.
2nd day the waves were a bit bigger shoulder height and didn't present much of a problem. pretty sure i could handle it ok in bigger again.
feel much more connected to the wave on it... like i know earlier everything thats goin on around me. wasn't exactly noseriding or anything.. but i can turn left now which was very hit and miss before. truly cruising!
can't wait till next week!
prob be a long time before i go back to the shorty.

I've always though of mini mals as being like cros dressers, can't really make up their minds what they want to be, so end up being in the middle, and ending as something that doesn't really make much sense.
