There's a new article about the history of surfing

Rip Curl have done a documentary film, made in Tahiti, to highlight the work of the non-profit association Coral Guard to protect Coral. The details have been included along with links to the videos.

I've just voted in the UK elections :D

We've got a series of surf training / exercise pieces running on the main site at the moment. Here's what's been posted so far.
The contributions are being made by Lee Stanbury - (see his profile here) Lee's posted a couple of times on the forum, has done a series of fitness articles for Carve, and has a surf fitness products website.

Here's what's new in the fitness series:

Surf Fitness Assessment: Charting your fitness progress.
Upright Row: Improve your paddle power.
Indo Press Up: An Indoboard exercise for upper body and core strength.
The Front Plank: More for the core - suitable for all fitness levels.
Surviving Hold Downs: Tips and exercises specifically for hold downs.
Boost your Surf Paddle Power: Swim training sets to improve paddling power and endurance.

New stuff is being posted regularly, so keep an eye out on the home page for new articles.

There's a new article up from Ryan Huxley (surfbodysoul.com). This one is a great pre-surf stretch called salute to the sun
It's a popular yoga stretch, there's a series of photos to help you hone your technique.

We have a new video up on the site from Cris Mills (surfstrengthcoach.com):

https://surfing-waves.com/surf-fitne ... bility.htm

Please have a look and let him know what you think by adding a comment. I'd like to encourage this sort of contribution to the site.

Thanks
SP.

Cris has just completed another exercise video. This one looks at exercising using a cable machine. These dynamic pushes and pulls will help build core strength and help with your turns and paddling.

Here's the video: https://surfing-waves.com/surf-fitne ... -pulls.htm

Once again, please take a look and let Cris know what you think.
