General Description

Waves vary from 1 foot to 6-8 feet
Bottom is sandy with a long slight sandbar running the length of the beach which makes nice waves when tide is high
It is rocky at the south end and there is a large rock in the middle of the beach that is submerged at high tide
Best in early fall
Popular spot with local surfers, kyakers and paddle boarders, but everyone is pretty friendly

black point road ( rte 207 ) off route 1 south of portland
take 207 to 77 and turn onto ocean ave (off 77 about 1 1/2 miles north of 207)
