Praia das Macas is just around the corner from the more known Praia Grande, where the World Body Boarding championships takes place every year.
Its a beach break with rocks on both the right and left side but sand in the middle. Safe for begging and great for all levels

How to get there
From Lisbon, head to Sintra and then to Praia das Macas, There is a train from Lisbon city centre to Sintra and a bus or tram from Sintra to the beach. You can always contact www.surfiberia.com as they offer transfers from Lisbon and Sintra.

Access & Parking Info / Cost
Plenty of parking on and off the beach. Free in most places, only 2 car parks charge 2 Euros per day for parking but only in the summer months.

Praia das macas is a great consistent beach and offers waves almost year round. Summer is when its smaller and biggest in the winter.
