Praia das Macas is just around the corner from the more known Praia Grande, where the World Body Boarding championships takes place every year.
Its a beach break with rocks on both the right and left side but sand in the middle. Safe for begging and great for all levels

Plenty of parking on and off the beach. Free in most places, only 2 car parks charge 2 Euros per day for parking but only in the summer months.
