Consistent wave just north of Figueira da Foz. Usually pretty empty, provides good quality beach break waves.
Powerful fun waves from spring to autum, brutal and dangerous in the winter.
May be brutal in summer to.

How to get there
There is a beach front dirt road from Buarcos to Murtinheira of about 2 km. Off road vehicle recommended (your car will suffer). No public transports available!

Do NOT walk, drive, park, make fire or leave garbage on the dunes. It's a protected area, please use the parking areas and wood pavements.

When its Flat?
Murtinheira IS NEVER FLAT, but it can get to big and brutal to ride. Go to the spots further south.
