General Description

Nice white beach, very good waves, unfortunaly Hendaye knows the word tide, during low the waves aren't very good, but once there is a high tide it rocks!!. Unfortunaly you have to deal with a lot of rocks and a lot of beginner groups which make surfing difficult when you have to fight with 10 to 20 beginners for a wave. You can use both short and longboards.

General Info

How to get there

By car, by plane and by bus

Where to Stay

There are a few hotels and a lot of cottages and houses for rent along the shore, perfect because they give a great view over the ocean, you just have to walk to the other side of the road to get into the sea

Access & Parking Info / Cost

When I was there the parking was free, could be possible that during summer time you have to pay to park. Tip: come early otherwise you don't have a parking spot (along the beach)

Equipment Hire

Lot of small shops where they rent you a surfboard, wetsuit etc. for a good price. Prices will probably be higher during summertime.

Surf Schools

A lot of surf schools, this can also be a disadvantage for a more intermediate surfer who has to deal with all these classes.

When its Flat?

During low tide
