Remote, no crowds, some of the most pristine waves and powerful waves in the Solomon Islands.
Best time of the year is Nov to Feb, for wind and swell. The swell comes from the North and East, it can be very powerful at times, other times it's moderate.
Tides are irrelevant, just wind dependent, most mornings and evenings are the best.
Waves can range from 3 foot to 10 foot, it can be epic, the right is similar to HT's in Indo, without the crowd/boat factor.
There are heaps of waves in the area, it's mostly uninhabited, one of the last frontiers of surfing on the planet
From Honiara the capital, you will need a flight to Suavanao. There is nothing here so don't bother just turning up. You will need to book your accommodation well before you go and you will be picked up from the airstrip in a small boat
There are very limited places to stay, hence the crowds are non-existent. Checkout SolSurfing, www.surfingsolomonislands.com
Boat and canoe travel from surfcamp only. Access fee for the wave is included in your stay at the nearby camp
Nothing - Bring all you need and leave what you don't for the locals
